What’s new

Kollektion improves continually. Here’s the latest.

v6.25.21 November 2026

AI tools are now part of Pro, and uploads have limits

  • Grading, identifying from photos, reading tracklists and AI cover clean-up are now Pro features, so free accounts no longer include AI credits
  • Free accounts now see what Pro adds in place of those tools. Barcode scanning, manual entry and manual grading stay free
  • AI credits you already bought keep working on any plan
  • Uploads are limited to 25 MB per photo and 10 MB per profile image, and to a generous daily count
  • Pro’s monthly AI credits now renew on your billing date instead of the 1st
v6.25.131 October 2026

Pro pricing, with more AI credits

  • Pro will be $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, and now includes 60 AI credits a month instead of 40
  • AI credit packs are bigger: 40 credits for $5, 90 for $10 and 185 for $20, and they never expire
v6.25.031 October 2026

AI credits, and better identification

  • Identifying a release from photos now reads artist names and catalog numbers more reliably
  • AI features now use credits: grading takes 1 and identifying takes 2. Free accounts get 3 to try, and Pro will include 40 a month
  • See how many AI credits you have left in Settings
v6.24.031 October 2026

Faster fixes when something goes wrong

  • We now hear about errors as they happen, and automatic checks test sign-in and printed label links around the clock
v6.23.231 October 2026

The app now says items, not records

  • Your collection can hold more than records, so limits, sign-up and buttons now say items
v6.23.131 October 2026

Kollektion is now a media collection app

  • The website now describes Kollektion as a home for your whole media collection: vinyl, CDs, cassettes, DVDs and more
  • Plans and pricing now count items rather than records
v6.23.031 October 2026

kollektion.app is open to search engines

  • Search engines can now find the Kollektion website, its guides and its help pages
  • Links to Kollektion now show a proper preview card when shared
  • The website now uses US spelling throughout its headlines
v6.22.026 October 2026

Pro billing moves to Stripe

  • When Pro goes on sale, checkout, the billing portal and receipts will be handled by Stripe, which takes care of sales tax and VAT.
  • Our privacy policy and terms now name Stripe as the payment provider.
v6.21.226 October 2026

Email links work wherever you started

  • Confirmation and password-reset emails now open correctly even when you signed up or asked for the reset in the iPhone app or another browser.
v6.21.126 October 2026

A Support page, and clearer limits in the iPhone app

  • New Support page at kollektion.app/support with answers to common questions and how to get in touch.
  • When you reach a limit in the iPhone app, the message now simply says what the limit is.
v6.21.016 October 2026

Open Pro sales from the admin console

  • A new “Pro sales” switch in Admin → System starts or stops selling Pro without a deploy, and takes effect within a minute.
  • Checkout, upgrade prompts, the Upgrade page, Settings, onboarding and the pricing pages all follow it: “coming soon” while closed, the free trial once open.
  • If the setting can’t be read, Pro stays off sale, so a hiccup can never start charging anyone by accident.
v6.20.816 October 2026

Your own cover photos show everywhere

  • Records with a cover you photographed yourself (ones not on Discogs) now show it in search results and the scanner, instead of a broken image.
  • Their covers also appear on web-printed record labels, the insurance report and the printed collection sheet.
v6.20.716 October 2026

Search and Inventory show the right artist

  • Search results, Inventory and the record details drawer now show the same artist the record is filed under — so a CD Discogs credits to its composers first shows its real artist there too, as it already did in your collection and on labels.
  • Inventory now shows your Edit-details changes (artist, title, year) in its lists and on the labels it prints.
v6.20.616 October 2026

Syncing with Discogs keeps your changes

  • After the background Discogs sync (or Refresh), your collection briefly — and on your next visit — showed Discogs’ raw data, dropping what Kollektion adds: your edits, Kollektion IDs, the artist a record is filed under, and copies that aren’t on Discogs. It now stores the sync and then shows your full collection.
v6.20.516 October 2026

Records file under the right artist

  • When you own several versions of a release, they now stay together under the artist they all credit — even if Discogs credits one version differently. The CD of Pet Shop Boys’ “A Man From The Future” lists its composers first on Discogs, so it was sitting under a “Neil Tennant” artist of its own; it now sits with the vinyl under Pet Shop Boys.
  • Setting the artist in Edit details now moves the record to that artist in your collection, too (not just on its page), joining the existing artist with their photo and favourite.
  • Labels, the valuation report and printed record sheets show the same artist the record is filed under.
v6.20.416 October 2026

Labels print your edits

  • A printed label now uses the artist, title, year and country you set in Edit details, instead of always taking Discogs’ version. Handy when Discogs lists a composer before the artist on the sleeve — edit the artist once and every label you print from then on gets it right.
  • Everywhere that offered Pro or its free trial — the upgrade prompts, onboarding, Settings, the pricing page — now says Pro is coming soon, and running out of free records or AI gradings no longer tells you to upgrade.
v6.20.316 October 2026

Pro is coming soon

  • Kollektion Pro isn’t on sale yet. The upgrade page now says so plainly instead of offering a free trial you couldn’t start. Everything on Free works as before.
v6.20.216 October 2026

Signed in on kollektion.app opens the whole app

  • After signing in at kollektion.app, only your collection and boxes opened — searching, or going to any other page, showed the “coming soon” holding page. Once you’re signed in, the whole app now works there.
  • Signing in at kollektion.app now takes you to your collection rather than the holding page.
v6.20.110 September 2026

Label QR codes open the app again

  • Scanning a printed record or box label opened a “coming soon” page instead of the record. The QR pointed at kollektion.app, which was still held behind the pre-launch holding page — the label deep links are now always let through, whatever the launch state.
  • Labels used to bake in whichever address you happened to be browsing, so one printed from a test or preview address could never resolve. Every new label now prints a QR pointing at kollektion.app.
  • On iPhone, scanning a label opens the Kollektion app rather than Safari — for labels printed with either of our addresses, old and new.
v6.20.09 September 2026

Clean covers from your photos

  • When your own photo becomes the cover of a release not on Discogs, the background is now cropped out and the sleeve straightened into a clean, square thumbnail — the AI finds the sleeve’s edges and the photo is dewarped server-side. Your original photo is kept untouched in the copy’s photos.
  • On the record page you can switch the cover back to the photo as shot, or run the clean-up again.
v6.19.29 September 2026

Labels for releases not on Discogs

  • Printing a record label for a release whose cover is your own photo now works on the web and in the iOS app. The label routed every cover through the Discogs image proxy, which rejected non-Discogs images and left the print waiting on a picture that never loaded.
v6.19.19 September 2026

Master and pressing matching for joint credits

  • Identify with a photo and “Find master” now find releases credited to more than one artist (for example “Soft Cell and Pet Shop Boys”). Discogs’ field search only matches a single artist name, so a free-text search of the same words now follows it.
v6.19.09 September 2026

Tracklists from photos, master matching and photo covers

  • A release that isn’t on Discogs is now indexed under its Discogs master release (the work itself) where one exists: the identification proposes the master, the add sheet lets you pick or find one, and the copy then groups with your other pressings, sits under the right artist and links to the master page. Change or unlink it from the record page.
  • The first photo you capture when adding a release not on Discogs is now its cover and thumbnail everywhere (it was silently dropped before because stored photos use short-lived links).
  • Identify with a photo now reads the full track listing off the back cover or inlay — every position, title (including mix and version names) and duration — and pre-fills it, one track per line, when you add a release that isn’t on Discogs.
  • A record that isn’t on Discogs has a tracklist editor on its page, with “Read tracklist from photos” to fill it from the copy’s stored photos. Review the reading, then save; the tracklist also goes into the details you copy for Discogs.
  • The identification handles sideways and upside-down photos, and flags promos (“promotional use only”) in the format.
v6.18.09 September 2026

Identify with a photo, and releases not on Discogs

  • No barcode? On the Add screen, choose “Identify with a photo”: photograph the cover, back or spine and the AI reads the artist, title and catalogue number, then finds the matching pressings on Discogs for you to add.
  • Releases Discogs doesn’t list — bootlegs, private pressings, unlisted editions — can now be added to your collection anyway. The details are pre-filled from the photo identification (or typed by hand), your first photo becomes the cover, and the copy gets a Kollektion ID, a location and a printable label like any other.
  • A copy that isn’t on Discogs shows a “Not on Discogs” badge and a submit panel on its record page: copy the details formatted for Discogs’ Add Release form, open the form, mark it as submitted, then paste the accepted release’s link to connect your copy to it. Discogs has no API for new releases, so the submission itself happens on discogs.com.
  • The storage box chosen when adding a record is now filed by the server, so the iOS app can file on add too — one path for both apps.
v6.17.94 September 2026

Steadier detail panels

  • Fixed a crash that could blank the page when a collapsible detail row (notes, tracklist and the like) filled in a moment after the record or wantlist panel had opened.
v6.17.825 August 2026

Security maintenance

  • Updated the app framework to pick up the latest security fixes.
  • Added automated tests covering the admin tools (granting admin, disabling, deleting and impersonating an account) and the Discogs sign-in signature, so those permission checks can’t regress unnoticed.
v6.17.721 July 2026

Card shortcuts reachable without a mouse

  • The favourite heart on artist cards now appears on touchscreens (and when you reach a card with the keyboard) instead of only on mouse-hover — so you can favourite an artist without a mouse.
  • The other hover shortcuts on cards (view on Discogs, quick print) now reveal themselves when reached by keyboard, so keyboard navigation no longer lands on invisible controls.
v6.17.621 July 2026

Readable format filter chips

  • A selected format filter (12″, CD, 7″…) now shows dark or light text automatically — whichever is more legible on that format’s color — fixing the hard-to-read white text on the amber and orange vinyl chips.
v6.17.521 July 2026

Tidier collection value chart

  • The “Collection value over time” chart is now tucked away by default — tap the row (showing the latest value) to expand it — so it no longer dominates the collection page.
  • Fixed the chart ballooning to a huge height on wide screens and its value labels getting clipped; it now renders at a compact, fixed height with crisp, correctly-placed labels and round data points.
v6.17.421 July 2026

Cleaner Collection typography

  • Text sizes throughout the Collection now follow the app’s type scale, so titles, values, and labels stay consistent instead of drifting between a dozen near-identical sizes.
  • Record notes and details are a touch larger and easier to read, and tiny labels are bumped up slightly for legibility.
  • Gold is now correctly the default accent color on first load, matching the app’s brand.
v6.17.321 July 2026

Collection is now fully keyboard-accessible

  • Every artist, record, list row, and pressing in the Collection can now be reached and opened with the keyboard (Tab to move, Enter or Space to open or select), and is announced properly by screen readers — previously these could only be clicked with a mouse.
  • The pressings table column headers can now be sorted from the keyboard too, and announce the current sort.
  • Enlarged the favourite and expand/collapse buttons slightly so they’re easier to tap accurately on touchscreens.
v6.17.221 July 2026

A more consistent Collection

  • Every button, sort dropdown, and search box in the Collection now shares one standard size and style, so toolbars and action bars line up neatly instead of mixing slightly different heights.
  • The collection, artist, and release summary figures (releases, value, years…) now read as a clean divided stat strip rather than a row of boxed cards — tidier, and more in keeping with the rest of the app.
v6.17.121 July 2026

Collection colors follow your chosen accent

  • Selecting records in the print collage, and your favourite hearts, now use your chosen accent color instead of a fixed green and pink — so the whole Collection reads as one consistent color language whatever accent you pick.
  • The active genre filter chip now shows dark text on the accent for a clearly legible, higher-contrast selected state.
  • Tidied the Collection’s status and error colors to use the shared palette, so they adapt correctly in light and dark mode.
v6.17.018 July 2026

A much better barcode scanner

  • The camera barcode scanner now uses a modern detection engine (the browser’s native barcode detector where available, with a fast WebAssembly fallback everywhere else), so record barcodes are recognized far more reliably — even slightly blurred, angled, or at arm’s length.
  • The scanner asks the camera for a sharper video feed and only looks for record barcode formats (EAN/UPC), making detection quicker and stopping stray QR codes from triggering lookups.
  • New flashlight button while scanning (on cameras that support it) — handy for dim crate-digging.
v6.16.1229 June 2026

Behind-the-scenes maintenance

  • Routine maintenance and a check of the deployment pipeline — no change to how the app works for you.
v6.16.1129 June 2026

Filing a copy into a box prints its new label

  • When you file a copy into a box (or move it) from the box selector on its details, a fresh record label — showing the new box location — opens to print automatically, so your printed label always matches where the record lives.
v6.16.1029 June 2026

File a copy into a box in one step

  • A record’s details now have a box selector right by the actions — pick a box to file the copy away (or move it) on the spot, without opening the full edit panel.
v6.16.928 June 2026

Collection starts loading sooner

  • Your records now begin loading the moment you open the collection, in step with your account details rather than waiting for them to finish first — so the grid fills in noticeably sooner, especially the first time you visit on a device.
v6.16.828 June 2026

Your collection shows instantly on return visits

  • When you reopen your collection, the records you already loaded now appear straight away instead of waiting on a sign-in check first.
v6.16.728 June 2026

Faster startup, especially on mobile

  • Opening the app now lands you on your collection in a single step instead of bouncing through an extra redirect first — noticeably quicker, particularly on a phone.
  • Moved the app closer to where your data lives, so pages and lists load with less waiting.
v6.16.627 June 2026

Shared storage-box label printing across the website and app

  • Groundwork so printed storage-box labels are built from one shared source for both the website and the mobile app, keeping them identical. No visible change to how box labels print.
v6.16.527 June 2026

Shared record-label printing across the website and app

  • Groundwork so printed record labels are built from one shared source for both the website and the mobile app, keeping the two identical. No visible change to how labels print.
v6.16.427 June 2026

Clearer condition grades and consistent grade colors

  • Sleeve grades that aren’t a standard rating — “Generic”, “No Cover” and “Not Graded” — now show their full name instead of a single letter. Previously “Generic” was shortened to “G”, the same as a “Good” grade.
  • Condition grade colors now match everywhere — Collection, Wanted, search and your storage boxes — so the same grade always looks the same.
v6.16.324 June 2026

Settings now matches the Admin Console width

  • The Settings page now stretches to fill the width of the screen too, so it and the Admin Console lay out identically instead of Settings sitting in a narrower column.
v6.16.224 June 2026

Admin console now uses the full screen width

  • The Admin Console now stretches to fill the width of the screen instead of sitting as a narrower centered column — so the user table and panels get more room, matching how Settings already lays out.
v6.16.124 June 2026

Reliability fix so recent updates land

  • Fixed a behind-the-scenes issue that was stopping a batch of recent admin and account updates from fully switching on. Nothing changes in how the apps look or work day to day.
v6.16.024 June 2026

Activity history for admins

  • Admins now have an Activity log alongside the existing Audit log: a running, read-only history of meaningful account actions — adding a record, grading a copy, editing a record’s details, adding or removing a photo, removing a copy, watching a release, connecting Discogs, and exporting or deleting an account.
  • It’s append-only and can be filtered by action or person, so support questions (“what happened to this copy?”) have an answer without digging through the apps themselves.
v6.15.423 June 2026

Format filter now scopes the title cards too

  • With a format filter on (say, cassettes), each title card now counts and locates only the matching copies — so a card reads its cassette’s box instead of “Various”, and shows the cassette’s pressing count rather than every format’s. Opening a title still shows all its pressings.
v6.15.323 June 2026

Bulk move respects your format filter

  • Filtering your collection by format (say, just cassettes), then selecting titles and moving them to a box, now moves only the copies the filter shows. Before, it also swept that title’s other formats — its vinyl or CD copies — into the same box.
  • Batch-printing labels from a filtered selection is fixed the same way: you now get labels only for the copies on screen.
v6.15.223 June 2026

One Edit panel for a record

  • Editing a record is now a single panel: one Edit opens both the record’s details (title, artist, year…) and your copy (condition, folder, box, notes), instead of two separate Edit buttons.
v6.15.123 June 2026

Move a record’s box from Edit; Kollektion ID on cards

  • The Edit panel for a record now has a storage-location picker, so you can move a copy to another box without leaving the edit.
  • A single copy’s Kollektion ID now shows in full on its card in both grid and list views.
v6.15.023 June 2026

Add to wantlist + collapsible Watching

  • You can now add a release straight to your wantlist from the add screen — switch between Collection and Wantlist at the top.
  • The Wanted “Watching” shelf can be collapsed to tuck it out of the way; the choice is remembered.
v6.14.2123 June 2026

Admin: sections & queue by user

  • Reorganized the Admin console into a left-hand section menu (Overview, Users, Background tasks, System, Audit log).
  • Added a per-user view of the background work queue, with a control to promote one person’s pending Discogs refresh to the front.
  • Fixed the System health live check reporting working services as unreachable.
v6.14.2023 June 2026

Cover sizing & menu polish

  • The Wanted “Watching” covers now match the size of the cards in the grid.
  • Fixed the selected item in the account menu sitting out of line with the others.
v6.14.1923 June 2026

Safer Discogs connection

  • Requests to Discogs are now handled entirely on our servers, so your Discogs sign-in details stay private to your browser.
v6.14.1823 June 2026

Release page follows your language

  • The record detail page now reads its labels and buttons from your chosen language, so it switches with the rest of the app.
v6.14.1722 June 2026

System status page

  • Added a public status page showing whether the core services are currently up.
v6.14.1622 June 2026

Admin: growth trends

  • The Admin console now records a daily snapshot of headline numbers — total members, Pro members, and estimated recurring revenue — and charts them over time.
v6.14.1522 June 2026

Bigger “Watching” covers

  • In Wanted, the covers in the “Watching” shelf now match the size of the cover art in the main list instead of appearing smaller.
v6.14.1422 June 2026

Hardened security

  • Strengthened the app’s protections against malicious scripts and content loaded from other sites.
v6.14.1322 June 2026

Admin: live service checks

  • The Admin console’s System health panel can now run a live check to confirm the backend services — database, email, billing and photo storage — are actually reachable, not just configured.
v6.14.1222 June 2026

Admin: subscriptions overview

  • The Admin console now shows a subscriptions overview — how many members are on Pro, on a trial, or free, and an estimated recurring revenue.
v6.14.1122 June 2026

Behind-the-scenes reliability

  • Routine housekeeping so the background work that keeps your collection’s values up to date keeps running smoothly as your collection grows.
v6.14.1022 June 2026

  • The Admin console now shows the status of scheduled background work that keeps collection values and data up to date — what’s pending, in progress, and anything that needs attention.
v6.14.821 June 2026

Two new collecting guides

  • Added a guide on storing and caring for your records — keeping them sounding good and holding their value.
  • Added a guide on understanding record pressings — telling a first pressing from a reissue, and why it matters for value.
v6.14.721 June 2026

Admins get Pro features

  • Administrator accounts now automatically include every Pro feature, whatever their plan.
v6.14.621 June 2026

New guide: valuing a collection

  • Added a collecting guide on how to value a record collection — what drives a record’s worth, and how to read guide prices versus what records actually sell for.
v6.14.521 June 2026

Admin: system health panel

  • The Admin console now shows at a glance which backend services — email, billing, photo storage, AI grading and more — are configured.
v6.14.421 June 2026

Admin: audit-log viewer

  • Admins can now review a log of administrative actions — disabling, deleting, impersonating, or changing admin access for an account — directly in the Admin console.
v6.14.321 June 2026

Safer sign-in links

  • Hardened the “return to where you were” step after signing in so a crafted link can’t send you on to another website.
v6.14.221 June 2026

Refreshed icon

  • Updated Kollektion’s icon — in your browser tab, when you add it to your home screen, and in shared link previews — to match the app icon.
v6.14.121 June 2026

Sign-up fixes

  • Creating an account now prompts your password manager to suggest a new password instead of offering an existing one.
  • After you confirm your email, the link now signs you straight in, and the sign-up screen reliably continues (with a manual “continue” option as a fallback).
v6.14.021 June 2026

Password reset & smoother sign-up

  • Forgotten your password? There’s now a “Forgot password?” link on the sign-in screen to reset it by email.
  • After you create an account, the screen now waits and signs you in automatically the moment you click the confirmation link in your email — no need to go back and sign in.

  • Further behind-the-scenes launch groundwork. No change to how the app works for you.
v6.13.621 June 2026

  • The Collection stats panel (value summary, formats, decades, condition breakdown) now follows your chosen language too.
v6.13.221 June 2026

Collection follows your language

  • The Collection screen — its toolbar, filters and summary — now follows your chosen language too. More of the app will follow over the coming updates.
v6.13.121 June 2026

More of Settings follows your language

  • The Appearance settings now follow your chosen language too — for example “Accent color” / “Accent colour”.
v6.13.021 June 2026

Choose your language

  • You can now pick your language — English (US) or English (UK) — in Settings → Appearance.
  • US English is now the default; we’ll expand what’s translated across the app over time.
v6.12.021 June 2026

Guides & a public “What’s new”

  • Added collecting guides to the Kollektion website, starting with a plain-English guide to grading record condition.
  • Added a public “What’s new” page so anyone can follow how Kollektion is improving.

v6.11.421 June 2026

Faster photo uploads

v6.11.321 June 2026

Security hardening

  • Added behind-the-scenes limits that stop the public cover-image and label-code features being abused, and an internal audit trail of administrative actions. No change to how the app works for you.
v6.11.221 June 2026

  • Kollektion now honours your browser’s “Global Privacy Control” / “Do Not Track” setting — when it’s on, no anonymous usage analytics are recorded.
  • The Privacy Policy now explains exactly what’s kept on your device (and why) and that our usage analytics is anonymous and cookieless.
v6.11.121 June 2026

Clearer AI grading consent

  • Before grading a record’s condition with AI, Kollektion now explains that your photos are sent to our AI provider to make the suggestion, and asks you to confirm the first time.
v6.11.021 June 2026

A home for Kollektion

  • Added a public landing page that introduces Kollektion to new collectors, with an overview of what it does and the plans available.
v6.10.021 June 2026

v6.3.021 June 2026

Guide value when adding a record

  • When you add a record, Kollektion now shows a guide value for the media grade you pick — based on current marketplace prices — so you can check you’re not overpaying in a shop.
v6.2.221 June 2026

Security hardening

  • Tightened how photos and profile images are accessed so each account can only ever load or remove its own files — a behind-the-scenes safeguard with no change to how the app works.
v6.2.121 June 2026

Faster photo storage

  • Record photos are now stored and served from a faster content network behind the scenes — no change to how you add or view them.
v6.2.021 June 2026

Account plans groundwork

  • Behind-the-scenes groundwork for account plans. Nothing changes in how Kollektion works today — every account is on the free plan.
v6.1.220 June 2026

Safety checks on edited details

  • Added extra checks on edited record details and cover images, and tightened how cover images are loaded — behind-the-scenes safeguards with no change to how the app works.
v6.1.120 June 2026

Your edits show everywhere

  • Edits you make to a record’s title, year and cover image now show throughout the collection — on the grid and list, and across each pressing — not just on the record’s own page.
v6.1.020 June 2026

Faster background updates

  • Your collection’s values, price-drop alerts and release dates now refresh much more promptly in the background — spread through the day instead of waiting for a single overnight batch — so what you see stays fresher.
v6.0.020 June 2026

A fresh look and editable records

  • Kollektion has a brand-new logo and app icon — in the navigation bar, on the sign-in screen, on your browser tab, and when you add Kollektion to your home screen.
  • You can now edit a record’s key details — title, artist, year, country, format and cover image — from the release view. Your edits are kept separately and are never overwritten when record data is refreshed; if the source later changes a detail you’ve edited, Kollektion offers to adopt the new value.
  • Record details load faster and more reliably — they’re remembered after the first time, so reopening a record is quicker and keeps working even when Discogs is briefly slow or unavailable.
  • You can now record a media/sleeve grade even without a Discogs account connected.
  • Privacy fix: on a shared device, signing in as a different person can no longer briefly show the previous person’s collection.
  • If your Discogs account can sell, the Selling section now appears as soon as you connect — no reload needed.
v5.29.220 June 2026

Security hardening

  • Record identifiers sent from your browser are now strictly validated as numbers before they’re used in any request to Discogs — a behind-the-scenes safeguard with no change to how the app works.
v5.29.120 June 2026

Smoother progress for “Refresh Discogs data”

  • The value-refresh progress now ticks up in small, frequent steps instead of large jumps, so you can clearly see it working through your collection.
v5.29.020 June 2026

Refresh all your Discogs data in one go

  • Settings → Discogs Connection now has a “Refresh Discogs data” button that updates everything pulled from Discogs in a single paced run — full release dates (day/month) and the latest marketplace value of every copy in your collection. It shows live progress and replaces the old dates-only button.
v5.28.020 June 2026

Selling assistant + refresh a value on demand

  • New Selling section (in the top nav, for Discogs sellers): see what’s worth selling from your collection — duplicates you own more than once, and your most valuable records — each with a link to list it on Discogs.
  • Added a Refresh button on a record’s value so you can pull its latest price from the Discogs marketplace whenever you like, instead of waiting for the next background update.
v5.27.1120 June 2026

Fix: record values now refresh to the correct price

  • Some records could still show a value far below their real worth, even after refreshing. Every place that looks up or refreshes a record’s value now uses the genuine lowest price currently listed on the Discogs marketplace — not an occasional stray low listing. Existing values update as records are re-checked.
v5.27.1020 June 2026

Fix: some record values were far too low

  • Fixed a bug where some records showed an estimated value far below their real worth — sometimes a few cents for a record actually selling for tens of dollars. Values now use the genuine lowest price currently listed on the Discogs marketplace. Affected values correct themselves as prices refresh.
v5.27.920 June 2026

Wanted no longer marks everything as a favourite

  • The Wanted list no longer highlights or pins items by your favourite artists — so a wantlist made up mostly of one favourite artist is no longer shown as all-favourites. Favourite artists still apply in your Collection.
v5.27.819 June 2026

Keep Discogs connection secret server-side

  • Your private Discogs connection key now stays on our servers and is never sent to your browser when loading your profile — a behind-the-scenes safeguard with no change to how the app works.
v5.27.719 June 2026

Fix: profile failed to load

  • Fixed a bug where your profile could fail to load — Collection and Settings appeared empty and prompted you to reconnect Discogs even though nothing had changed. Your details were always safe; they just weren’t being read correctly.
v5.27.619 June 2026

Label QR codes generated in-house

  • Record and box label QR codes are now created by Kollektion itself instead of an outside web service — so your records’ details stay private and labels keep printing even if that service is unavailable. Already-printed labels are unaffected: they still scan to exactly the same place.
v5.27.519 June 2026

More security hardening

  • Your connected Discogs sign-in details are no longer sent to the browser, and image loading and scheduled tasks were tightened — all behind-the-scenes safeguards with no change to how the app works.
v5.27.419 June 2026

Security hardening

  • Tightened account permissions so admin access can only ever be granted through the proper admin tools, never by an account changing its own settings.
  • Hardened the Discogs connection flow and added protective browser security headers across the app.
v5.27.319 June 2026

Test builds mark themselves

  • Labels printed from a test build now carry a faint watermark, and the browser tab is badged, so test prints — whose codes link back to the test site — can’t be mistaken for the real ones.
v5.27.219 June 2026

Clearer sleeve grades

  • Sleeve grades “Generic”, “Not Graded” and “No Cover” now show in full on record labels and condition badges, instead of being shortened to an ambiguous initial (e.g. “G”, which clashed with “Good”).
v5.27.119 June 2026

Fix: Inventory kept reopening the same record

  • Fixed a bug where, after opening a record from a storage box, returning to Inventory could bounce you straight back to that same record every time — leaving you stuck on it instead of the box list. Inventory now always returns you to your boxes, while still resuming the record you were reading once when you come back.
v5.27.019 June 2026

Value stars on record labels

  • Printed record labels now show a prominent row of stars under the cover for your more valuable records: ★ over $50, ★★ over $100, ★★★ over $500 — so the standouts are obvious at a glance.
  • Record-label printing now renders from a single shared layout used by both the website and the iOS app, so the printed format stays identical everywhere.
v5.26.319 June 2026

Releases now gated on the test suite

  • The automated tests now run as part of every release — if a test fails, the release is blocked and the previous good version stays live. The app does the same before publishing an update. No visible change; it just makes regressions much harder to ship.
v5.26.219 June 2026

Reliability: broader automated test coverage

  • Expanded the automated test suite to cover the API routes (request validation, auth, price reads) on top of the pricing/label logic — guarding against regressions before they ship. No visible change.
v5.26.119 June 2026

Fix: Near Mint copies were valued too low

  • Corrected a valuation bug where copies graded “Near Mint (NM or M-)” were priced at the Very Good Plus baseline instead of the higher Near Mint multiplier (×1.35) — Near Mint copies were undervalued by about a quarter. Values update on the next price sync.
v5.26.018 June 2026

Collection refresh: photos, box references, inline favourites & one selection style

  • Photos on a copy can now be multi-selected (Select → tick photos → Delete) for bulk removal, and clicking any photo opens it full-screen with ← / → to move between photos and Esc to close.
  • The storage box reference now shows on releases in the Collection and Inventory “All” views, in both grid and list modes.
  • Favourites are no longer a separate shelf — favourite artists now sit at the start of the same grid/list in Collection and Wanted, with a heart you can toggle inline, and are selectable in list mode like everything else.
  • One consistent selection style across Collection, Wanted and Inventory: a clear accent circle (empty ring → filled tick) on both list rows and grid cards, replacing Collection’s old mismatched green highlight.
v5.25.418 June 2026

Fix AI grading failing with several photos

  • Assessing condition with AI no longer fails with “the server returned an error” when several photos are attached — each photo is now compressed to keep the upload under the size limit (it was exceeding it and being rejected before reaching the grader).
v5.25.318 June 2026

Show release-date fetching on the API counter

  • “Fetch all release dates” now updates the API counter and activity log live as each batch completes, so you can see the Discogs calls it makes (they run on the server, so the counter only catches up on refresh — now it does so immediately per batch).
v5.25.218 June 2026

API counter includes server-side Discogs calls

  • The nav Discogs-call counter now also counts calls made in the background — scheduled price refreshes, collection & wantlist sync, release-date backfill, barcode scans, and edits — not just calls from your browser.
  • The counter updates live while background server work runs, instead of only after a reload.
v5.25.118 June 2026

Fetch all release dates on demand

  • Settings → Discogs Connection now has a “Fetch all release dates” button to pull full dates for your whole collection in one go, with live progress (instead of waiting for the daily background fill).
v5.25.018 June 2026

Full release dates (day/month)

  • Release Date now shows day/month precision where Discogs has it (e.g. “15 Sep 1998”) — in the Inventory and Artists lists, when sorting, and on printed labels.
  • Dates fill in automatically in the background (immediately for records you open); until a record is dated it shows its year as before.
v5.24.018 June 2026

Sort by Release Date

  • Sort by Release Date in the Inventory and Artists views, in both grid and list modes.
  • The Artists releases list now has clickable, sortable column headers (Title, Release Date, Format, Value).
  • Renamed “Year” to “Release Date” throughout, including on printed record labels.
v5.23.318 June 2026

Server-side Discogs proxy for app sync

  • The iOS app can now browse and sync using a Discogs account connected with one-click sign-in — without ever handling sensitive credentials on the device.
v5.23.218 June 2026

Label printing & QR deep-link fixes

  • Fixed printing labels from an inventory box: when a box held two or more copies of the same release, only one label printed — every filed copy now gets its own label.
  • Scanning a record label QR now opens that exact copy, not just the release — including older labels printed before this was added.
v5.23.118 June 2026

Labels print in display order; QR app deep links

  • Printing a batch of labels (from search results, an inventory box, or the collection) now prints them in the order shown on screen — so sorting by year, value, etc. carries through to the printout.
  • Groundwork for label/box QR codes to open the iOS/iPad app when installed, falling back to the website otherwise.
v5.23.018 June 2026

One-click Discogs connection works everywhere

  • A Discogs account connected with one-click sign-in (no pasted token) now works for everything — adding, grading and removing copies, plus background and on-demand valuations — so it is fully functional on its own.
  • Background Discogs calls now use whichever connection you set up — the one-click sign-in or a pasted token; existing token users are unaffected.
v5.22.418 June 2026

Label fixes: Inventory Kollektion ID + stable grid

  • Printing record labels from the Inventory page now includes the Kollektion ID (it was blank).
  • The detail grid can no longer grow past its half of the label when a field value wraps, so it no longer pushes into and obscures the artwork/title.
v5.22.318 June 2026

Record label is now 4"×2"

  • Record labels now print at 4"×2" (was 4"×3"), recompacted so the cover, QR, detail grid and large Kollektion ID / Cat # all still fit.
v5.22.218 June 2026

Record label: wrapping field values

  • On record labels, the six detail fields (format, country, label, media, sleeve, year) now wrap onto multiple lines when needed instead of truncating, staying bottom-aligned in each cell.
v5.22.118 June 2026

Resized printed labels

  • Record labels now print at 4"×3", with a full-width detail grid filling the bottom half: field titles sit at the top of each cell and values at the bottom, and the Kollektion ID and Cat # are shown large (auto-fitting so long catalogue numbers never truncate).
  • Box labels now print at 2.25"×1.25" — Reference, name and location top-aligned on the left, QR code on the right.
v5.22.018 June 2026

Connect with Discogs (one-click)

  • You can now connect your Discogs account with one click via the official authorisation flow — no Personal Access Token to paste (Settings → Discogs Connection). The pasted-token option still works.
  • Groundwork for phone-only sign-up: the app authenticates Discogs requests using the one-click connection when set up that way, falling back to your token otherwise.
v5.21.018 June 2026

Collection value-change alerts

  • The background valuation job can now send a push notification when your collection’s total value moves significantly, so you hear about big swings without opening the app.
  • Alerts only start once your collection is fully priced (so the cache filling in doesn’t trigger false moves), and a single move resets the baseline so you’re never spammed.
  • Turn it on per device from the iOS app’s Settings — value-change alerts.
v5.20.118 June 2026

Shared release price cache

  • Discogs market prices are now cached per release in one shared, persistent table, so the same pressing is only looked up once per refresh window — fewer Discogs calls, and valuations recompute instantly from the cache.
v5.20.018 June 2026

Automatic collection valuation

  • Your collection’s value now refreshes on its own in the background — a scheduled job keeps Discogs prices up to date (and builds the value history) without anyone opening the app or hitting refresh.
  • Prices are fetched in paced batches that respect Discogs’ rate limits, working through the collection over time.
v5.19.117 June 2026

Tidier printed labels

  • Record labels now show the Kollektion ID and catalogue number in their own labelled boxes at the top of the details grid, freeing up the artwork area for the artist and title.
  • Box labels are now centred, so a label can be trimmed down to fit a smaller box without losing the QR code.
v5.19.017 June 2026

Kollektion IDs for every copy

  • Each copy in your collection now has a unique Kollektion ID in the form AABBCC999999 — the first two letters of the artist and title, a format code, and a running number.
  • IDs are assigned automatically: existing copies are numbered on your next sync (or instantly from Admin → Backfill Kollektion IDs), and new copies get one as you add them.
  • The ID shows on the release detail, the printed record sheet, and the 3"×2" release label, so each physical record is easy to find and file.
v5.18.617 June 2026

Safeguarded printed-label QR links

  • The QR codes on printed record and box labels now build and resolve from one shared source, so future changes can’t accidentally break already-printed labels.
v5.18.517 June 2026

Crimson leads the theme picker

  • The theme accent picker now lists Crimson first, matching the new default.
v5.18.417 June 2026

Default theme accent is now Crimson

  • New accounts now default to the Crimson accent instead of Gold — existing themes are unchanged; pick any accent in Settings.
v5.18.317 June 2026

Companion-app access fix

  • The companion app (and other non-browser clients) can now reach your data directly with a secure sign-in, instead of being bounced to the login page.
v5.18.216 June 2026

Collection: Home button follows the style guide

  • Collection: the Home button on the artist and release pages now uses the standard button style, matching the rest of the toolbar
v5.18.116 June 2026

Wantlist layout, collapsible heroes, tidier Add flow

  • Wantlist release page: the actions (Add to collection, View on Discogs, Browse listings, Remove want) now sit together in a row beside the cover
  • The summary/filter hero on Collection and Wanted is now collapsible — your choice is remembered
  • Add flow is standalone: removed "Back to collection" and added a Cancel button by "Look up" that returns you to wherever you opened Add from
  • Removed the redundant barcode icon from the top navigation
v5.18.016 June 2026

Add to Collection from the Wantlist; accent-button contrast

  • Wantlist: each release now has an "Add to collection" button that opens the same add flow as the scanner, pre-filled with that release (photos, condition, folder, location, label)
  • Adding a wanted record to your collection automatically removes it from your Discogs wantlist
  • Accent-filled buttons now use dark text for AA contrast (the accent colours are light), in both light and dark mode
v5.17.316 June 2026

Accessibility pass & usage analytics

  • Added a "Skip to content" link for keyboard and screen-reader users
  • Clear, consistent keyboard focus outlines on all interactive elements
  • Respect the system "reduce motion" preference — animations and transitions are minimised
  • Light mode: accent-coloured text (links, chips, active items) now uses a darker shade that meets AA contrast (dark mode is unchanged)
  • Added privacy-friendly usage analytics
v5.17.216 June 2026

Wanted links, Add wording & faster mobile load

  • Wanted release page: the Browse listings, Remove and View on Discogs links now use the same button styling as Collection
  • Renamed the Add flow heading to "Add to Collection"
  • Faster mobile load: the barcode scanner and photo uploader now load on demand (only when you open Add or Photos), removing a large chunk of code from the initial Collection page
  • Warm up the data connection on first load and trim the icon bundle for quicker first paint
v5.17.116 June 2026

Combined value card; consistent Select buttons

  • The release page now shows a copy’s value and its history in one card — the value is shown, with "Value history" as an inline expander
  • Select-mode buttons in Collection and Inventory now use the standard button size and styles (All, None, Cancel and the bulk Move/Print/Remove actions)
v5.17.016 June 2026

Apply the design system across the app

  • Rolled the shared design system across the whole app for one consistent look
  • Crisp Lucide icons everywhere — Collection, Wanted, Inventory, Search, Scan, the nav, menus, photo tools and dialogs — replacing the old emoji
  • Accent tints now follow your chosen accent throughout (no more elements that stayed gold), and the account menu uses the shared menu styling
  • Chips are pill-shaped to read as labels rather than buttons, at a consistent height
  • Tidied control styling and spacing using the shared tokens
v5.16.016 June 2026

Design system & style guide

  • Introduced a canonical visual language: design tokens (colour, type scale, spacing, radii, shadows) and reusable Button, Chip and Card/Menu/Field primitives
  • New admin-only Style guide page showcases every token and component, with live accent and light/dark previews
  • Accent tints now follow your chosen accent everywhere — fixing spots where elements stayed gold after switching to blue, green, teal, purple or crimson
  • Form fields now show a subtle accent focus ring
  • Groundwork to roll the consistent styling across the whole app next
v5.15.016 June 2026

Admin console: manage, disable, delete & impersonate users

  • Each user now has a Manage pane with all admin actions in one place
  • Promote to / remove from admin (moved off the inline toggle into the pane)
  • Disable an account (blocks sign-in, fully reversible) or re-enable it
  • Delete a user permanently — removes their account, data and uploaded files (behind a confirm step)
  • Impersonate ("act as user"): sign in as a user to see exactly what they see, with a banner and one-click Exit that restores your admin session
  • The user list shows admin and disabled badges at a glance
v5.14.016 June 2026

List view & pagination in Collection and Wanted

  • Collection and Wanted now have a grid/list toggle on both the Artists and Releases views, matching Inventory
  • List view shows compact rows — artists with their release count (and value in Collection); releases with year, format and pressings (and value in Collection)
  • Both apps now paginate, with page-size controls, so large collections load in tidy pages
  • The grid/list sits in a height-bound frame that scrolls on its own, with the pagination controls pinned at the bottom of the page
  • Your grid/list choice and page size are remembered per app
  • Active format/genre filters now carry through when you open an artist — filter on 12" then open an artist and you'll see just their 12"s (Wanted now matches Collection)
  • Tidied the toolbars: the sort box and grid/list toggle now sit at the right of the bar (matching Inventory), and the toggle is the same height as the other controls
  • Removed the duplicate title/pressing counts and value chip from the releases header — they're already in the hero
  • Inventory: moved each view's description into a tidy box beside the value, and gave all the header controls a consistent height
  • The Favourites shelf is now collapsible (shown by default) and remembers your choice
  • Faster first paint in Collection: above-the-fold cover art loads eagerly and uses smaller thumbnails
  • Consistent toolbars across all three apps: Home stays on the left while the actions, sort box and grid/list toggle cluster on the right
  • Wanted now has a sort control (by name or number wanted), matching Collection
  • Removed the duplicate Add button from the Collection toolbar — it's already in the top navigation
  • Inventory header now matches Collection/Wanted: Home + name on one line, with value, counts, filter, sort and the grid/list toggle aligned on the right at the same size and style
  • Admins now see the deployment environment beside the version (PREVIEW with the commit, or PROD); non-admins see neither this nor the API call counter — just the API activity light (now a smaller button to suit)
  • Inventory: renamed storage types to "Location" (was Room/Space) and "Container" (was Box/Crate)
  • Inventory: "Releases" is now "All", with a separate "Unassigned" entry in the sidebar; the old All/Unassigned toggle is gone
v5.13.016 June 2026

Hand-edit a copy's value when Discogs has none

  • When Discogs offers no value for a copy, you can now set your own on the release page — it saves to the database straight away
  • If Discogs later starts offering a value for a hand-edited copy, the release page shows an alert with that value and a one-tap option to adopt it
  • Adding a record now fetches and calculates its value as part of the add, so the new copy shows a value immediately
  • Hand-edited values are kept through price refreshes and don't expire; they're excluded from the value-history chart
v5.12.515 June 2026

Add performance monitoring

  • Added real-world performance monitoring (load speed, responsiveness) — no visible change in the app
v5.12.415 June 2026

Removing a copy updates everywhere immediately

  • Removing a copy now updates the cached collection and artist grouping straight away, so it disappears from the grid at once and stays gone after a reload (no ghost copy lingering from the local cache)
  • Removal also clears the copy's stored metadata (storage location, notes, purchase details) so it no longer lingers as an orphan in Inventory
v5.12.315 June 2026

Add-flow lookup box fixes; open a just-added record from search

  • The barcode/cat#/title lookup box in Add a record no longer triggers 1Password (and other managers) to offer a login — it is now flagged to be ignored, with autocomplete off
  • Searching for a record you just added and opening it now lands on its release page instead of the Collection home — newly-added copies are written to the collection immediately (then reconciled from Discogs), so they're instantly findable everywhere
v5.12.215 June 2026

Really fix the Add view showing when opening a search result

  • Collection now reads deep-links from the router (useSearchParams) instead of window.location, which during a page transition could still report the previous URL — so opening a release from Search after using Add now reliably shows the release, not the Add view
v5.12.115 June 2026

Fix: opening a search result after using Add showed the Add view

  • After using Add a record, clicking a Collection search result sometimes reopened the Add view instead of the release — Collection now reacts to URL changes so a cached page no longer keeps the stale view
v5.12.015 June 2026

See each copy's box, and file + label a copy as you add it

  • Collection release cards now show the copy's box (or "Various" when copies of a release live in different boxes)
  • The release detail pressings table has a new Location column, sortable like the others, showing where each copy lives
  • Inventory grid view now shows the box on each item too (All Releases and Favourites) — matching the list view
  • Box contents still omit the location, since the box you're viewing already implies it
  • Add a record: you can now file the new copy straight into a box on add
  • Add a record: a "Print a release label on add" option (on by default) prints the 3"×2" label as part of submission
v5.11.215 June 2026

Home buttons now read "Home" and match their toolbar

  • The app "top level" buttons are now labelled Home rather than a ⌂ icon
  • Each Home button is sized to match the other controls on its line (the sort/refresh controls at the top level, the back buttons in a release view)
v5.11.115 June 2026

Home button moves into each app; Inventory release memory fixed

  • The ⌂ "top level" button now lives in each app's own toolbar (next to the sort/back controls) rather than the top navigation
  • Fixed Inventory navigation memory: open a release from Inventory, move away, and returning to Inventory now takes you back to that release instead of dropping you on the box list
  • Using "← Inventory" or the Inventory ⌂ button still returns you to the box list as expected
v5.11.015 June 2026

Apps remember where you were as you move between them

  • Collection, Wanted and Inventory each remember your in-app position — drill into a release, bounce to another app or run a search, and returning lands you right back where you were
  • Position is restored from where you actually were (selected artist, release detail, or box), not just the last page you opened
  • Each section in the nav now has a ⌂ "top level" icon that jumps straight to the top of that app (e.g. Collection artists, Inventory Releases · All)
  • Memory lasts for the browser tab/session; the ⌂ icon clears it for that app on demand
v5.10.115 June 2026

Record sheet: current box name and a scannable QR code

  • Record sheet now shows the box's current name (resolved live from the assigned location), fixing copies that printed a stale name after a box was renamed
  • Added a QR code to the top-right of the record sheet that opens the single-release view for that exact copy
v5.10.015 June 2026

Print a one-page summary of all pressings; clearer per-copy print options

  • For a title with multiple pressings, "🖨 Print summary" prints a one-page overview: header stats from the hero, the full release-details table, and each pressing's cover from Discogs
  • Selecting an individual copy still prints the detailed record sheet (tracklist, credits, notes and your stored photos) — now via "🖨 Print sheet" in the release info panel
  • Single-pressing releases show Print label and Print sheet right in the release info on the right, with no Select clutter
  • Label QR codes now open the single-release view for that exact copy, not the master with every pressing
v5.9.015 June 2026

Release-label QR codes open the Kollektion release page

  • The QR code on printed release labels now links to that record's page in Kollektion, not the Discogs release
  • Scanning a label while signed out shows the login screen, then drops you straight onto the right release page once you sign in
v5.8.215 June 2026

Scan “Find in collection” opens the exact release

  • “Find in collection” from a barcode/scan result now shows just that one release (your copies of that pressing), instead of every pressing of the master
  • Search result tiles now show the catalogue number under the condition, rather than the storage location
v5.8.115 June 2026

Print label button on the release page

  • Added a ⎙ Print label button to the release detail page, alongside Edit and Remove — works for releases opened from both the Collection and Inventory apps
v5.8.015 June 2026

Add a record by catalogue number or title, not just barcode

  • The Add-a-record lookup now accepts a catalogue number, title or artist as well as a barcode — handy when there's no barcode to scan
  • Results are always specific pressings (never the master release), so you add exactly the copy in your hands
  • Fixed the result tile showing the artist name twice and surfacing it where the catalogue number belongs — the catalogue number now has its own clear line
v5.7.015 June 2026

Barcode-scan button in the search box

  • Added a barcode icon to the search box (desktop and mobile) that opens the camera straight away for a barcode lookup
  • Scanning a barcode this way tells you instantly whether the record is in your collection, on your wantlist, or new — and lets you add it
v5.6.115 June 2026

Add another copy of a record you already own

  • Scan results for a record already in your collection now offer "+ Add another copy", running the same photo + AI grading + folder flow as a new add
  • The copy count on the result card updates live once another copy is added
v5.6.015 June 2026

Quick "+ Add" in the nav; fix delete leaving copies on Discogs

  • Added a + Add button in the top navigation (next to Inventory on desktop, and a quick + on mobile) that jumps straight to the Add-a-record flow
  • Fixed Remove sometimes clearing a copy from Kollektion without actually deleting it from Discogs: removal now always checks the copy's real Discogs folder first, so it can no longer leave an orphaned (or duplicate) entry behind
  • Added a safeguard so a double-tap of "Add to collection" can't create two copies of the same record
v5.5.115 June 2026

AI grading works for all formats (CD, cassette, etc.)

  • Fixed the AI condition grader refusing non-vinyl items — it now grades any physical format (vinyl, CD, cassette and more) and interprets "media" and "sleeve" appropriately for each
  • The release's format is passed to the grader as a hint for more accurate assessment
v5.5.015 June 2026

Edit a copy's Discogs folder; sturdier editing

  • The ✎ Edit panel can now move a copy to a different Discogs folder
  • Editing now loads the copy's current details straight from Discogs first, so your edits build on the latest state and no longer blank values out
  • Release-page action buttons are now left-aligned with the cover thumbnail
  • The value-history graph now starts collapsed
v5.4.015 June 2026

Edit a copy's grading & notes; button & layout polish

  • New ✎ Edit on a release's selected copy lets you change the media grade, sleeve grade and collection notes and save them straight back to Discogs
  • On the release page, View on Discogs and Remove are now proper buttons matching the rest of the app
  • The release value-history graph can now be collapsed
  • On the Add page, the View on Discogs / Add to collection actions are now buttons, and the results frame expands to fill the browser window when results are shown
v5.3.015 June 2026

Printable record sheets

  • A release's detail page now has a 🖨 Print button that produces a clean one-page (US Letter) record sheet with the full metadata — cover, format, label, country, genres, condition, value, tracklist, credits, identifiers — and any photos you've added
  • In the pressings Select mode you can print sheets for several copies at once — one page per record
  • AI condition grading now runs on a lighter model (Sonnet) to reduce cost, with no change to how you use it
v5.2.015 June 2026

Grade existing copies from their photos; tidier Add page

  • On a release's Photos tab you can now "✨ Grade condition from photos" — the AI assesses the photos you've uploaded for that copy and suggests media and sleeve grades, which you can adjust and apply straight to your Discogs collection
  • The Add page results area now matches the height of the scanner column and keeps results inside it (scrolling if needed), so giving results no longer reshuffles the layout, and it always stays within the screen
v5.1.215 June 2026

Fix AI grading failing on large photos

  • Photos are now compressed before being sent for AI condition grading, so full-resolution camera shots no longer exceed the upload size limit and silently fail the request
v5.1.115 June 2026

Tidier Add page; consistent toolbar buttons

  • The Add page now uses the full width on desktop — the barcode scanner and manual entry sit on the left, results on the right, with a placeholder prompting you to scan
  • On the Collection toolbar the sort and Select controls are now the same size as the Add, Valuation and Refresh buttons, so the row looks consistent
v5.1.015 June 2026

Remove a copy from your collection

  • A release's selected copy now has a "🗑 Remove copy" action that deletes it from your Discogs collection and from Kollektion in one step (with a confirmation)
  • Removing a copy also clears its stored value history and photos, and the collection updates immediately
v5.0.315 June 2026

More reliable AI condition grading

  • Fixed AI grading failing when the response was cut short — it now has more room to answer, so it completes reliably
  • Clearer messages when grading can't complete (busy, rate-limited, photos too large, or declined), so you always know to just grade manually
v5.0.215 June 2026

Add flow: upload or take photos; "Scan" is now "Add"

  • The add dialog now lets you either upload existing pictures or take new ones with the camera, on both mobile and desktop (the camera works on desktop too via a live preview)
  • Renamed the Collection toolbar's "Scan" button to "Add", since the whole flow is about adding records to your collection
v5.0.115 June 2026

Recent searches dropdown; fix mobile results scrolling

  • Your recent searches now appear as a dropdown the moment you tap into the search box (desktop and mobile) — pick one to run it again
  • Fixed search results not scrolling on mobile: the grid and list now scroll within the results pane instead of being cut off
v5.0.015 June 2026

Add scanned records to your collection — with AI condition grading

  • Scan results for records you don't own now have an "+ Add to collection" action that walks you through adding the copy to your Discogs collection
  • Snap photos of the disc and sleeve and let AI suggest the media and sleeve condition on the Discogs grade scale — you can adjust before saving
  • Pick which Discogs folder to file it under (it pre-selects a folder that matches the release's genre)
  • If the record was on your wantlist, adding it removes it from your Discogs wantlist automatically
  • Your photos are saved as that copy's release photos, and the new copy shows up in your collection straight away
v4.4.315 June 2026

Tidy the mobile search result actions

  • On phones the Select and ⎙ Valuation buttons are now smaller and sit on the same line as the grid/list view toggle, instead of on their own full-width row
v4.4.215 June 2026

Select & Valuation usable in search results on mobile

  • In search results on phones, Select and ⎙ Valuation now sit on their own full-width row below the grid/list toggle, instead of being cramped beside it
  • The bulk-select bar (All / None / Print labels / Assign to box / Assign) now stacks tidily on mobile with larger, easier-to-tap controls
v4.4.115 June 2026

Search results use the full screen on mobile

  • On phones the Format/Genre filters now collapse behind a "⚲ Filters" toggle (with a count of active filters) instead of always taking up space above the results
  • The Collection / Wanted / Inventory category switcher becomes a compact horizontal row on top of the results, so the results pane gets the full screen width instead of losing it to a side column
  • Desktop layout is unchanged
v4.4.015 June 2026

Recent searches; Scan moves into the Collection toolbar

  • Search now remembers your recent terms: when the search box is empty it shows your recent searches as chips — tap one to run it again, ✕ to remove it, or "Clear all" to wipe the list. History is saved to your account, so it follows you across devices
  • The barcode scanner is now a 📷 Scan button in the Collection toolbar instead of a separate top-level menu item — it belongs with the collection it checks against
v4.3.115 June 2026

Search box fixes on mobile and desktop

  • The search box now appears in the mobile navigation menu — previously there was no way to search on a phone
  • On desktop the search box no longer grows wider when you click into it; it keeps a constant size
v4.3.015 June 2026

Scan section — point your camera at a barcode to check "do I own this?"

  • New Scan section in the top navigation: open your phone camera, point it at a record's barcode (EAN/UPC) and instantly see whether the release is already in your collection, on your wantlist, or new to you
  • Each match is colour-coded — ✓ In collection (with how many copies you own and their media conditions), ★ On wantlist, or + New to you — with the artist, title, format, label, catalogue number, country and year
  • Built for crate-digging: cross-referencing happens against your cached collection and wantlist with no extra Discogs traffic; only the barcode itself is looked up on Discogs
  • Owned matches link straight through to "Find in collection"; every match links out to the release on Discogs
  • Type-in barcode entry is offered as a fallback for desktop or when a scan fails or the camera is unavailable
v4.2.015 June 2026

Collection value over time

  • The Collection hero now shows a "Collection value over time" chart — the total condition-adjusted value of your whole collection plotted month by month
  • It builds on the value history already captured each time prices refresh: at each month-end every copy's most recent known value is carried forward and summed, so the line rises as more copies get valued and drifts as prices move (rather than zig-zagging on staggered refreshes)
  • The chart appears once there are at least two months of history to plot
v4.1.115 June 2026

Right-justify the action buttons on Collection and Wanted

  • The Select / Valuation / Refresh buttons on Collection (and Refresh on Wanted) now sit to the right of the toolbar, with the artist-sort control held to the left
v4.1.015 June 2026

Filters return to Collection & Wanted; one search box in the nav

  • The multi-select Format and Genre filters are back on the Collection hero, the artist Releases hero and the Wantlist hero (they had moved entirely into global search in v4.0.0)
  • Removed the in-page text search boxes from Collection and Wanted — the global search in the top navigation is now the single place to search
  • Search page: removed the duplicate in-pane search box; the top-nav search is the one entry point, now with a submit button, and it shows your active query while you are on the search page
v4.0.015 June 2026

Global search section + printable valuation report

  • New Search section: a search box in the top navigation opens a dedicated results page that spans your whole collection and wantlist — matching on artist, title, catalogue number, label, genre, year and format, with no Discogs traffic
  • Precise matching: each term matches the start of a word, so results are accurate (e.g. "xpress" no longer matches "express", and a stray "2" no longer matches every year); catalogue-number search ignores spaces, so "10R6115" matches a stored "10 R6115"
  • Two-pane, Inventory-style layout: a left category nav (Collection, Wanted, Inventory) and a results pane that stays within the window with pagination pinned to the bottom. Every category has a grid/list toggle with sortable columns and the same pagination
  • Collection results have a Select mode for bulk label-printing or assigning copies to a box; Inventory shows the boxes your matches live in as collage-thumbnail cards (or a list), and opening one jumps to that box (or the Unassigned view) pre-filtered to your term; Wanted links each match through to that specific release. Click-throughs carry a "Back to search" control
  • Multi-select Format and Genre filters on the search page (match any value within a facet, all facets combined)
  • The Format/Genre filter chips have been removed from the Collection, Releases and Wantlist heros — global search now covers filtering — while Inventory keeps its own filter. The redundant "Valued" stat has also been removed from the Collection hero
  • New ⎙ Valuation report: a printable, condition-adjusted valuation of your collection — header with owner, date and totals, by-format and by-decade subtotals, and a per-copy item table — from the Collection toolbar
  • Shared internals: new collectionFilter, releaseHelpers, insuranceReport, HeroFacets, PaginationBar and BoxCollage modules so filtering, search, pagination, thumbnails and label-building behave identically everywhere
v3.20.515 June 2026

Inventory: actually keep the mobile Filters toggle on the title row

  • Fixed the Filters toggle still dropping onto its own line in the boxes view — the title block now shrinks and truncates so the toggle stays level with the box/crate name and count
v3.20.415 June 2026

Inventory: Filters toggle aligns with the location title on mobile

  • On phones the Filters control now sits on the same row as the box/crate name and item count, instead of wrapping onto its own line — giving the list and grid more vertical space
  • Long location names truncate cleanly so the Filters toggle always stays in view
v3.20.314 June 2026

Changelog is paginated

  • The changelog now shows 12 releases per page with Newer/Older controls, so the full history stays easy to browse
v3.20.214 June 2026

Refine stats card Discogs links

  • In the stats panel's "highest value" and "rarest" cards, the cover image and a ↗ link on the right now open the release on Discogs, while the title text is no longer a link
v3.20.114 June 2026

Stats panel cards link to Discogs

  • The "most valuable" and "rarest" release cards in the stats panel are now clickable, opening that specific release on Discogs — on both the artist and release pages
v3.20.014 June 2026

Release stats panel and value-history charts

  • Opening a release with more than one pressing now offers a 📊 Stats panel — the same dashboard as the artist page (estimated value, most valuable and rarest pressing, value summary, formats, decades and condition breakdown), scoped to that release
  • The release detail page now plots a value-history chart for the selected pressing, showing how its value has changed over time
  • Value history is captured automatically each time a value is refreshed from Discogs (about monthly per item), so the chart fills out over time; your current values seed the first point
  • Single-item inventory click-throughs are unchanged — the stats panel only appears where a release has multiple pressings
v3.19.414 June 2026

Settings tidy-up: theme applies on Save, removed from top nav

  • Settings no longer appears in the main navigation — it lives in the profile dropdown, so the duplicate link has been removed from both the desktop and mobile menus
  • In Settings → Appearance, choosing a mode or accent colour now just marks your selection; the theme is applied only when you press Save, consistent with every other setting
v3.19.314 June 2026

No more "No wantlist items" flash on the Wanted page

  • The Wanted page no longer briefly shows "No wantlist items" while your saved wantlist is still loading from the database
  • It now shows a brief "Loading…" state instead, and only reports an empty wantlist once the database load has genuinely returned nothing
  • The "Not configured" message is likewise held back until your profile has finished loading
v3.19.214 June 2026

Inventory tree +/− toggles and matching sort options

  • The collapsible Location and room toggles in the inventory sidebar now use clear +/− markers instead of arrows
  • Rooms are indented under the Location header, and boxes a little further again, so the tree hierarchy reads more clearly
  • The grid-view sort dropdown now offers the same columns shown in the list view — Cat# and Format were missing — and Location appears only where it applies
v3.19.114 June 2026

Wanted sync now reconciles the full wantlist

  • The post-load sync now walks your whole wantlist (paced, so it never floods Discogs) and diffs it properly
  • Additions, removals and edits to existing items (rating and notes) are all detected, not just new items
  • The page still only re-renders and re-saves when something actually changed — an unchanged wantlist stays a quiet no-op
v3.19.014 June 2026

Wanted loads instantly, syncs changes after load

  • The Wanted page now paints your saved wantlist immediately, with no wait for Discogs
  • Discogs is only contacted once the page has fully loaded, so the first render is never blocked
  • Syncing pulls only what changed — it walks your wantlist newest-first and stops as soon as it reaches an item you already have, instead of re-fetching everything
  • If anything no longer reconciles (e.g. an item was removed on Discogs), it falls back to a full resync automatically; the Refresh button still forces a full reload
v3.18.014 June 2026

Settings reorganised into sections with one Save

  • Settings now has a left-hand menu of section chips — Profile, Discogs Connection and Appearance — that switch the panel on the right
  • A single consistent "Save changes" action saves every section; the structure makes adding new settings sections straightforward
  • Appearance still previews your theme live, but it is now saved together with the rest when you press Save
  • The menu stacks into a scrollable row on small screens
v3.17.014 June 2026

Release stats dashboard for artists & selections

  • New "📊 Stats" panel on an artist’s releases page: estimated value, most valuable record, and the rarest pressing (fewest copies for sale)
  • Value summary (average, high, low, % valued), a format breakdown, a by-decade breakdown with year span, and a media-condition breakdown
  • In Select mode the dashboard recomputes live for just the releases you’ve selected, so you can analyse any subset of a multi-select collage
  • Rarity and community demand (have/want) are now captured during the existing value sync at no extra Discogs cost, and cached for fast stats — requires the new instance_rarity migration
v3.16.614 June 2026

Inventory rooms default to expanded

  • Rooms in the location tree are now expanded by default (showing their boxes), and stay collapsible — collapse a room to hide its boxes; your choice is kept within the session
v3.16.514 June 2026

Inventory Releases defaults to All; rooms start collapsed

  • Fixed the Inventory Releases view opening on Unassigned — it now correctly defaults to All
  • Rooms in the location tree now start collapsed and stay how you leave them, so the sidebar is compact and each room expands to reveal its boxes
v3.16.414 June 2026

Inventory sidebar: reorder, collapsible Location, aligned counts

  • Reordered the Inventory sidebar to Releases, then Favourites, then Location
  • Location is now a collapsible section — collapse it to hide the room/box tree; the state is remembered
  • Fixed the box count on room rows so it stays right-aligned with the Releases and Favourites counts when the sidebar is resized
v3.16.314 June 2026

Inventory always opens on Releases · All

  • Navigating to the Inventory page now always opens on the Releases · All view, instead of restoring the last location visited in the session
  • Back-navigation from a release detail (and ?loc= deep links) still restore the exact location, filter, sort and page
  • Your sidebar width is still remembered in all cases
v3.16.214 June 2026

Collapsible Inventory filter/action bar on mobile

  • On mobile the Inventory header controls (filter, sort, select, view toggle, print) now collapse behind a "Filters" toggle and are hidden by default, giving the grid and list much more room to browse
  • Tapping "Filters" reveals the controls; tapping again hides them
v3.16.114 June 2026

Inventory location tree moves into a mobile drawer

  • On mobile the location tree is now a slide-in drawer opened from a button at the top of the contents, instead of a panel that ate the top of the screen and left the grid clipped and unscrollable
  • The grid and list now get the full screen height and scroll correctly on phones
  • Picking a location (or tapping the dimmed backdrop) closes the drawer automatically
v3.16.014 June 2026

Mobile-friendly Inventory + changelog in the menu

  • Inventory now works properly on small screens: the location tree sits in a capped, scrollable panel above the contents instead of pushing everything off-screen
  • Inventory list view reflows on mobile — each row becomes a compact card (cover, title, condition and value on the first line, artist below) rather than an unreadable wide table; sorting stays available via the sort menu
  • Inventory grid and the location header controls now wrap and resize to fit narrow widths, and the filter box grows to fill the row
  • The changelog is now reachable from the mobile hamburger menu, with the current version shown as a badge beside it
v3.15.214 June 2026

Consistent value counts + resilient inventory value fetching

  • Inventory value progress (X/Y) now counts fetched items the same way as the Collection page — a release with no marketplace listing counts as fetched, so the two pages no longer disagree (e.g. 531/958 vs all fetched)
  • Inventory list/grid views now keep retrying items that still have no stored value, so values skipped by Discogs rate-limiting fill in on subsequent passes instead of stalling
  • Rate-limited fetches pause and resume (with the countdown shown on the API counter) rather than being dropped
v3.15.114 June 2026

Mobile-friendly top navigation

  • On narrow/portrait screens the primary navigation now collapses into a hamburger menu instead of cramming every link into the bar
  • Tapping the menu opens a dropdown with Collection, Wanted, Inventory and Settings; it closes on selection
  • The version badge is hidden on small screens, and the API counter and avatar stay compact and usable
v3.15.014 June 2026

Persistent API counter + Inventory refinements

  • The API activity counter now persists to a global counter in the cloud, so it tracks the app's entire lifetime and no longer resets each session
  • Every API transaction is counted: Discogs data calls and image-proxy requests
  • The LED is seeded from the stored total on load and reconciled to the database, which remains the source of truth
  • Counts are batched and flushed in the background to keep database writes light
  • Inventory: opens on the Releases · All view by default on first visit, and selecting Releases opens the All view, with the toggle reading All · Unassigned
  • Inventory: the divider between the location sidebar and the list/grid is now draggable, so you can widen the sidebar to read long box names (your width is remembered)
v3.14.014 June 2026

Display themes — choose your mode and accent colour

  • Added an Appearance section in Settings to choose a display theme
  • Dark and Light mode, each available with six accent colours: Gold, Blue, Green, Teal, Purple and Crimson
  • Your choice is saved to your profile so it is remembered between sessions and across devices
  • Themes apply instantly as a live preview and without a flash of the default theme on reload
  • The API activity counter (7-segment LED) now follows the chosen accent colour too, with a darker backing in light mode so it stays legible
v3.13.114 June 2026

Move Admin into the profile menu + admin role indicators

  • Removed the top-level Admin nav link; Admin now lives in the avatar dropdown, directly above Settings, and only shows for admins
  • Added a small "A" badge to the avatar tile to denote the signed-in user is an admin
  • Added an ADMIN pill next to the name in the dropdown header
  • Admin and Settings entries in the dropdown now highlight when you are on that page
v3.13.014 June 2026

Inventory list/grid views auto-fetch missing values on load

  • Inventory: when any list or grid view is shown (Favourites, Unassigned/All Releases, or a Box), values for items without a cached price are now fetched automatically on page load — no user interaction needed
  • Fetched values are saved so they persist and fill the per-view totals
  • These fetches drive the API-counter LED and handle Discogs rate-limiting (pause + countdown) like everywhere else
  • Scoped to all items in the active view, but only those missing a value or older than 30 days — fully-valued views make no Discogs calls
  • Each instance is requested at most once per session to prevent refetch loops as the cache fills
v3.12.114 June 2026

DB-driven value fetching on sync + 30-day refresh window

  • Collection sync now fetches values for any item whose stored value is missing or more than 30 days old, detected from your stored values rather than an in-memory snapshot — robust across reloads and devices, and reliably catches items newly added on Discogs
  • On a first-ever sync this fills the whole collection's values in the background (rate-limited, progress shown in the API log)
  • Lowered the value staleness window from 31 to 30 days — stored values are only re-fetched from Discogs once they are older than 30 days
  • Release detail page continues to fetch and store a value when one is missing or stale, unchanged
  • Build fix: updated the underlying app framework; no visible change
v3.12.014 June 2026

Remove background price sweep — values load on demand only

  • Removed automatic background price sweep from useInstancePriceCache — no Discogs API calls are made when browsing the list or grid views in Collection or Inventory
  • Values displayed in list/grid views now show only what is already stored (fetched on a previous detail-page visit or collection sync)
  • Prices are still fetched from Discogs when you open a release detail page or when new items are synced from your Discogs collection — these are saved for future use
  • Removed Sync Values buttons from Inventory (Favourites, Unassigned, and box views)
  • Removed the fetching-prices badge from the Inventory sidebar header
  • Fix: Inventory app frame was overflowing the browser window — changed layout shell to height: 100dvh with the list/grid area scrolling internally; the pagination bar is now always visible without scrolling
v3.11.314 June 2026

Persist filter, sort and pagination through back navigation

  • Collection: sort order and format filter in the releases view (artist → release list) are now lifted to CollageApp level so navigating into a release detail and pressing Back restores the exact sort and filter you had
  • Collection: when clicking through from artists to releases, the format filter initialises from the active collection-level filter (same as before) but no longer resets when returning from the detail page
  • Inventory: selected location, filter query, sort column/direction, page number, page size and "show all releases" toggle are saved to sessionStorage on every change and restored when navigating back from the collection page
  • Inventory: a direct URL with ?loc=X still takes priority over any sessionStorage-restored location, so deep-links continue to work correctly
v3.11.214 June 2026

Fix blank values on release pages + immediate fetch for new collection items

  • Bug: release page (DetailView) showed blank values when a background sweep was running — syncPrices was blocked by _sweepRunning and silently skipped
  • Fix: added fetchPricesNow to useInstancePriceCache — a priority targeted fetch that bypasses all locks; DetailView now uses this instead of syncPrices so values always load on the release page regardless of sweep state
  • New behaviour: when a collection refresh (Refresh button) completes and new releases are detected that weren't in the previous snapshot, fetchPricesNow is called immediately for those instances — catches items the user just added on Discogs before refreshing
  • All values continue to be stored and read from your account; the targeted fetch saves them exactly like the background sweep
v3.11.114 June 2026

Fix excessive Discogs rate limiting on value sweeps

  • Bug: auto-fill sweep fired on every incremental page load during collection streaming, re-queueing Discogs fetches multiple times before the collection settled — fixed with a 5s debounce that waits until idCount is stable
  • Bug: CollageApp and InventoryApp both ran independent sweeps simultaneously, doubling request rate — fixed with a module-level _sweepRunning lock (only one sweep runs at a time globally)
  • Bug: rate-limited batches were logged but the next batch fired immediately without waiting — fixed by actually awaiting retryAfter seconds between batches when a 429 is returned
  • Bug: manual Sync Values could run concurrently with an auto-fill sweep — syncPrices now blocks if _sweepRunning is true
  • Server: reduced Discogs CONCURRENCY from 2 → 1 in both sync and refresh routes (30 req/min max vs 60) to leave headroom for collection fetching and other API activity
v3.11.014 June 2026

Value sync API log integration + rate-limit surfacing

  • Value sweep (auto-fill on page load) and manual Sync Values are now fully visible in the API log — each batch logs start, fetch count, and completion
  • Rate-limited responses from Discogs during value sync now surface to the API log (⚠ rate limited — waiting Ns) and trigger the nav bar countdown, exactly like Discogs API calls from the Collection page
  • Sync route now returns fetched count and rateLimited/retryAfter metadata — client uses these for accurate logging without guessing
  • Rate-limited releases are skipped for the current batch (not written to DB with null) so they remain pending and will be retried on the next sync
  • Module-level fetch counter in releasePrice.ts keeps the API log LED accurate across concurrent value-sync operations
  • Background auto-fill reworked so the value sweep no longer depends on the cached collection list
  • DetailView in CollageApp auto-fetches missing prices for the current master group on mount via syncPrices
v3.10.014 June 2026

Server-side value storage — all prices computed and cached in database

  • Architecture: condition-adjusted values are now computed behind the scenes and stored per copy owned (not per release) — the app no longer does this maths in your browser
  • Per-copy values are cached for about a month before being refreshed
  • Cached values load instantly; only stale or missing ones are fetched from Discogs, adjusted for condition, and saved
  • Different copies of the same release in different conditions each get their own correctly adjusted value (NM copy ≠ VG copy)
  • Reworked how per-copy values are loaded throughout the app
  • Collection totals — the pressing table, artist totals, release totals and the hero — all read the stored per-copy values, with no more in-browser multiplication
  • Inventory (box, unassigned, and favourites views) reads the stored values directly
  • Bug fix: favourites grid pagination clamps correctly, matching the box/unassigned views
  • Condition-grade sorting still uses the multiplier behind the scenes; it is no longer used for value display
v3.9.113 June 2026

Fix value calculation mismatch + value chips on Favourites and Releases

  • Bug: conditionMultiplier was defined independently in InventoryApp with wrong values (M: 1.3, NM: 1.1) vs CollageApp (M: 1.7, NM: 1.35) — inventory values were systematically lower than the release detail page
  • Fix: moved conditionMultiplier to lib/releasePrice.ts as a single exported function; both CollageApp and InventoryApp now import it — cannot drift again
  • Added total value chip to the Favourites header (shows sum of condition-adjusted market values for all releases by favourite artists)
  • Added total value chip to the Unassigned/All Releases header (same calculation)
  • Partial count shown in chip when not all releases have a cached price (e.g. "12/47")
v3.9.013 June 2026

Standardised inventory grid cards + sort dropdown on all inventory views

  • All three grid views (box, unassigned/all, favourites) now show the same fields: cover, title, artist · year, media/sleeve condition (colour-coded), country, value
  • Added country field to all three enrichment pipelines and to the sortByListSort generic constraint
  • Added sort dropdown (field + ▲/▼ direction toggle) to all three inventory header rows, positioned between the filter input and view toggle — applies to both grid and list views
  • Sortable by: Title, Artist, Year, Media, Sleeve, Country, Value; Unassigned and Favourites also have Location
  • Unified + Room / + Box nav button styles — both use the same accent-coloured bordered button (dashed dull border removed from + Box)
v3.8.013 June 2026

Favourites select mode — bulk assign and label printing

  • Added Select/Done toggle button to Favourites header (mirrors Releases UI)
  • Select action bar: item count, All/None buttons, box picker dropdown, Assign button (calls handleBulkMoveUnassigned), ⎙ Labels batch print, Cancel
  • Grid select mode: tap a card to toggle selection; checked cards get itemCardSelected highlight and a ✓ overlay in place of the Discogs link
  • List select mode: checkbox column added to header and each row; row click toggles selection instead of navigating; print/↗ buttons suppressed while selecting
  • Per-row print button (⎙) added to list lhLink cell when not in select mode — consistent with box and unassigned list views
v3.7.313 June 2026

Consistent list/grid views + pagination fixes across all Inventory contexts

  • Fixed value calculation regression: Inventory was hardcoding field_id 1/2 for media/sleeve condition, but Discogs field IDs are user-specific and arbitrary — values now use the same getCondField() logic as CollageApp, reading the dcw_fields_v1 cache, so condition-adjusted prices match the release detail page exactly
  • Extracted shared sortByListSort helper — eliminated three near-identical sort comparator blocks (box, unassigned, favourites)
  • Fixed favourites grid view: was rendering all items with no pagination; now uses the same favPageSlice as the list view and identical itemCard / itemCoverWrap structure as box and unassigned grids
  • Fixed favourites list view: replaced old inline pagination buttons with the PaginationBar component (matching box and unassigned list views)
  • Added grid pagination to unassigned and box grid views — all six view contexts (3 contexts × grid + list) now paginate consistently via PaginationBar
  • Removed color dot from Room rows in the sidebar nav so Room names align with Favourites (♥) and Releases (○) at the same visual indent level
v3.7.213 June 2026

Fix favourites persistence + cache artist images

  • Reworked how favourites are stored so each toggle is saved individually — concurrent sessions can no longer clobber each other
  • Artist images are now cached after the first fetch from Discogs and shared across all devices and browsers, keeping Discogs calls to a minimum
  • Artist image loading now follows a three-tier cascade: on-device cache (instant) → cloud cache (persistent, cross-device) → Discogs (only when truly uncached)
  • Favourites now load from a dedicated store on every app open, guaranteeing Collection, Wantlist, and Inventory all see the same state
  • Existing favourites are migrated automatically
v3.7.113 June 2026

Favourite button on artist pages + TypeScript fix

  • Favourite button (♡/♥) now appears inline next to the artist name on the Collection artist page and Wantlist artist page — always visible, no hover required
  • Toggling from the artist page updates the same shared store, so the card grid thumbnails reflect the change immediately
  • Fixed a bug in the Inventory favourites filter
v3.7.013 June 2026

Favourite artists + thumbnail TTL

  • Heart button (♡/♥) on the top-left of every artist thumbnail in Collection and Wantlist — tap to add or remove the artist from your favourites
  • Favourites are stored on your profile and shared across both apps — favouriting on the Wantlist is reflected on the Collection and vice-versa
  • Active favourites show a filled pink ♥ and stay visible even without hovering; unfavourited artists show ♡ on hover only
  • Artist and release thumbnail cache extended from 7 days to 30 days — images are fetched much less frequently since artist photos rarely change
v3.6.113 June 2026

API counter + currency formatting

  • API counter in the nav bar is now a lifetime cumulative total (increments with each request, never resets mid-session) — expanded to 7 LED digits
  • Currency values now always display two decimal places ($2.70 instead of $2.7) across Collection, Wantlist, and Inventory
v3.6.013 June 2026

Wantlist loads instantly + rename to Kollektion

  • App renamed to "Kollektion" across all screens
  • Wantlist now loads instantly on page open from your saved data, just like the Collection
  • Background Discogs sync triggered only when data is older than 1 hour — eliminates unnecessary traffic on every visit
  • Removing a want from the detail view now also removes it from your saved data immediately
  • Wantlist changes are saved the same way as the Collection, with per-user access
v3.5.113 June 2026

Inventory nav polish

  • Renamed "Storage" to "Location" in the inventory sidebar header
  • "Releases" is now pinned at the top of the nav tree, above rooms and boxes
  • Inventory opens in "All" view by default (showing all releases with Location column)
  • Pagination options expanded: 10 and 15 added alongside 25, 50, 100, 500, All
  • Pagination bar gains First («) and Last (») navigation buttons
v3.5.013 June 2026

Wantlist hero bar + inventory pagination

  • Wantlist artists view now has the same hero bar as the Collection page: total wanted, artist count, and format filter chips to filter the grid by vinyl/CD/etc.
  • Format utilities (FormatType, FORMAT_COLORS, FORMAT_DIMS, detectFormat, getFormatLabel) extracted to lib/formatUtils.ts — no longer duplicated between CollageApp and WantlistApp
  • Inventory list views are now paginated (default 100 per page; options: 25, 50, 100, 500, All) with a pagination bar below each list
  • Up-button (↑ parent room) moved to the right of the filter in the header actions area, styled consistently with Edit/Print buttons
  • Unassigned view gains a toggle to show All Releases (assigned + unassigned) vs. unassigned only
v3.4.013 June 2026

Collection now loads instantly

  • Your collection is now stored as the primary data source — the grid loads instantly on every visit, without waiting for Discogs
  • Background sync from Discogs runs automatically if your stored data is older than 1 hour; manual Refresh always forces a full sync and re-saves it
  • Removed items are detected and pruned on each full sync, keeping your stored data in step with Discogs
  • When opening a release detail view, condition grades (media, sleeve) and rating are polled from Discogs in the background and updated both on screen and in your stored data without requiring a full collection refresh
  • An on-device cache is kept as an instant offline fallback, but your cloud data is now the source of truth
v3.3.213 June 2026

Fix collection hero value — computed from price cache

  • Est. value in the collection hero is now derived from the local price cache (condition-adjusted) instead of a Discogs value endpoint, which was unreliable and returned an incompatible response format
  • Value range stat replaced with "X / Y Valued" showing how many releases have a known price
  • Removed dependency on the external collection-value call and its on-device cache
v3.3.113 June 2026

Server-side price fetching — no more rate limit conflicts

  • All Discogs price fetching now runs in the background — it can no longer compete with the browser's own rate limiter (which caused silent failures and missing prices)
  • Cached prices are returned instantly on every page load; only stale or missing ones are refreshed
  • Price loading no longer needs a Discogs token in the browser; it uses your signed-in session instead
  • Inventory cleaned up: it no longer manages the Discogs token itself, since sign-in is handled centrally
  • After the first full sweep, all prices are stored and load instantly on subsequent visits
v3.3.013 June 2026

Shared price cache across devices

  • Market prices are now stored in the cloud (one per release per user) instead of only on your device — persisted across devices and sessions
  • Prices are refreshed automatically when older than 31 days; ones that are still fresh are served instantly on load
  • All three apps (Collection, Inventory, Wantlist) now share a single price-loading path — eliminating duplicated fetch/cache logic
  • The release detail page's background pressings loop was simplified — price writes always go through the shared path and are rate-limited only when multiple pressings exist
v3.2.213 June 2026

Canonical artist name enforced across all views

  • Wantlist artist grouping now uses the Discogs artist ID (matching the Collection) so name variations merge under the canonical name
  • Wantlist release detail panel no longer shows the name variation — uses the canonical name
  • Confirmed the Collection and Inventory already clean artist names correctly; extra-artist credits intentionally keep the credited variation
v3.2.113 June 2026

Inventory: proactive price fetching and caching

  • Inventory now loads the Discogs token on mount and fetches market prices for every release in the collection that is not already cached
  • Prices are fetched sequentially at 1.1s intervals to respect Discogs rate limits, saved after each one, and immediately reflected in the UI
  • The shared price cache means data fetched in Inventory is available in Collection and vice versa
  • A small "⟳ done/total" badge in the sidebar header shows fetch progress and disappears when complete
v3.2.013 June 2026

Box contents sheet printing

  • New "⎙ Contents" button appears in the box header when a box has items
  • Prints a full-colour letter-sized sheet listing every item in the box
  • Page header shows the box reference, name, and parent room with a QR code linking directly to that box in the inventory
  • Each item shows a colour thumbnail on the left with artist and title on line one, then catalogue number, format, country, label, media condition, sleeve condition, and year on line two
v3.1.1413 June 2026

Inventory artist name: always show canonical name, not ANV

  • Box contents (grid + list view) and unassigned view were using anv || name — ANV-first — showing credited variations like "PSB" instead of "Pet Shop Boys"
  • Both now use cleanArtist(name), matching the Collection app behaviour
v3.1.1313 June 2026

Inventory scroll fix — static header, scrolling content

  • Location header, filter bar, and select/bulk-action bar now stay fixed
  • Items grid, list table, room box thumbnails, and all other content scroll underneath
  • Implemented by splitting .content (overflow:hidden flex column) from a new .contentScroll (flex:1 overflow-y:auto) child
v3.1.1213 June 2026

Artist name variation grouping

  • Artists are now grouped by Discogs artist ID rather than by name string
  • Releases credited to an artist name variation (ANV) — e.g. "PSB" or "PetShopBoys" — are merged under the canonical artist name
  • Display name is determined by the most frequently seen name in the group, which in practice is always the canonical Discogs name
  • Releases with no artist ID (edge case) continue to group by name as before
v3.1.1113 June 2026

Box label redesign for B&W thermal printer

  • All text and borders now pure black — greys removed throughout
  • Reference displayed at 28px bold, name at 20px bold, parent location at 12px bold uppercase
  • Text wraps freely — no truncation on any field
  • Item count removed from label
  • Type badge (BOX/ROOM icon) and description removed for a cleaner layout
  • Footer divider and brand line removed — label area given entirely to the three key fields
  • QR code enlarged to 72×72px
v3.1.1013 June 2026

Artist name never truncated on release labels

  • Artist name now wraps freely — long names display in full rather than being cut with an ellipsis
  • Bottom metadata grid remains protected: the label body is flex-constrained so any overflow in the upper section is clipped before reaching the grid
v3.1.913 June 2026

Shared release label module

  • Extracted all release label code (interface, CSS, HTML builder, print functions) into lib/releaseLabel.ts
  • CollageApp and InventoryApp now import from the shared module — label layout is defined in one place
  • Any future label changes automatically apply to both Collection and Inventory views
v3.1.813 June 2026

Release label redesign for B&W thermal printers

  • All text and borders are now pure black — no more grey tones that fade on thermal printers
  • Artist name increased to 9px bold, catalogue number to 9.5px bold (both were grey and tiny)
  • Divider line thickened to 2px solid black; metadata grid borders increased to 2px solid black
  • Grid cell labels increased to 7px bold black; values increased to 10px bold
  • Removed small SVG icons from grid cells — they did not survive low-resolution dithering
  • Removed condition colour coding (green/orange/red) — meaningless on monochrome output
  • Cover image rendered with contrast(1.5) boost to improve dithering on pure B&W thermal heads
  • Changes applied to both Collection and Inventory release labels
v3.1.713 June 2026

Location reference never truncated on release labels

  • Box/location reference below the QR code now always renders in full on both Collection and Inventory labels
  • Removed fixed width, overflow:hidden, and text-overflow:ellipsis constraints from the reference element
v3.1.613 June 2026

Wider Cat# and Format columns in inventory list view

  • Cat# column widened from 90px to 120px — longer catalogue numbers no longer truncate
  • Format column widened from 52px to 72px — full format strings (e.g. "Vinyl") display without ellipsis
v3.1.513 June 2026

Cache hero bar collection value

  • Collection estimated value (median, min, max) now cached on your device
  • Hero bar stats load instantly on return visits from cache, then refresh silently in background
  • Matches existing cache-first pattern for releases, prices, and collection fields
v3.1.413 June 2026

Box number on all release labels

  • Box/location reference printed below the QR code on both Collection and Inventory release labels
  • Text rendered at 10px bold, spanning the full 64px QR code width for visual alignment
  • Collection labels: location fetched from your saved metadata for single prints (selected pressing) and all items in batch print
  • Inventory labels: box reference from selected box for grid/list/bulk prints; omitted for Unassigned items
v3.1.313 June 2026

Box number on inventory release labels

  • Box reference printed below the QR code on inventory release labels in bold
  • Applies to single-item print buttons (grid and list) and bulk ⎙ Labels in select mode
  • Unassigned items print without a box reference (field omitted)

Inventory UI polish

  • Filter input moved into the header action bar, inline with Select and view toggle

  • Filter input in box and Unassigned views — searches title, artist, and cat# instantly
  • Match count shown (e.g. "12 / 84") when a query is active
  • Filter clears automatically when switching locations
  • "No matches" state when filter has results from another view
v3.1.013 June 2026

  • Item count badge on the sidebar entry updates live as items are assigned
  • Assigning items moves them out of Unassigned immediately
v3.0.113 June 2026

  • Inventory labels now match Collection exactly: Format / Country / Label on line 1, Media / Sleeve / Year on line 2
  • Thumbnail resized to 64×64 to match QR code dimensions
